Hi, My name is Star.  I don't know how I got here but I'm sure glad I did.  I was sitting on a cold, hard concrete slab with big steel things around me.  There were all these dogs barking and growling around me. Everyday people would walk by me and say "look at the poor dog", but they kept going.  My previous family just dumped me there after I loved them for 9 whole years!  Man, I never would have dumped them in this place, EVER.   Then one day this lady walked by and STOPPED.  She was really nice, but I was so scared I just shivered and cried.  The people who worked at the shelter said no one asked about me and that I may be unadoptable. They said I was so scared that it may be for my own good if they put me to sleep.  I MEAN HELLOOOOOOO, if you heard someone saying they were going to put you to sleep FOREVER, wouldn't you be scared all the time too!  Anyway, my new mommy posted bail and I got out of jail.  If they could see me now.  I've got new brothers and sisters, I have a new mommy who loves me and feeds me food every day!   I get to play all day and sleep on the bed at night.  My mom says I am a shining Star and I'm OKAY with that !!!
